About Atlaswaves
Patterns for people who like to make things
Atlaswaves is an online shop for crochet patterns. Everything here is a digital PDF: you buy the pattern, download it, and make the piece yourself with your own hook and yarn.
What you’ll find here
The shop is organised into five areas: amigurumi, blankets, wearables, bags and home decor. Some patterns are quick weekend makes. Others are the kind of project you pick up over a few weeks, a few rows at a time.
Before you buy, each pattern page should tell you what you’re getting into: the skill level, the yarn weight and hook size used, the finished size, and the stitches you’ll need. Where a detail doesn’t apply to a design, or isn’t listed, you’re always welcome to ask before buying.
How the patterns are written
A pattern is only useful if you can follow it with yarn in your hands. So the aim is simple: instructions laid out round by round or row by row, stitch counts where they help you check your work, and a note at the points where it’s easy to lose your place.
The patterns are written in English. Because the same stitch name can mean different things in US and UK crochet terms, each pattern should say which terms it uses, along with any technique you might not have tried before.
Why digital?
There’s no waiting for the post. Your download link shows up as soon as your payment goes through, and a copy is emailed to you. Print the whole thing, print just the page you’re working on, or keep it open on your phone next to your yarn. Your purchases also stay in the Downloads section of your account, so a lost file is never really lost.
New to crochet, or not new at all
If you’re just starting out, check the skill level on each pattern and pick something marked as beginner-friendly. Take your time with the first few rounds; it gets easier once the shape starts to appear. If you’ve been crocheting for years, you’ll find the pattern details up front, so you can decide quickly whether a design is worth your yarn.
Either way, if something in a pattern doesn’t make sense, please get in touch. A question from one maker usually means a clearer pattern for the next.
